Richard Kaczynski, PhD is an author and lecturer in the fields of social psychology, metaphysical beliefs and new religious movements.  He is known for his biography of the occultist Aleister Crowley, Perdurabo:  The Life of Aleister Crowley, described by The Times Literary Supplement as "the major biography to date".  This podcast will focus on Richard's scholarly presentment of Crowley's The Sword of Song which was just released by Inner Traditions. In other wide-ranging academic pursuits, Richard has held positions as assistant professor at Wayne State School of Medicine, research associate and affiliate at Yale Universities' Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.  He has published dozens of articles in academic peer reviewed journals in areas ranging from national program evaluation of comprehensive work therapy, and multi-site clinical trials of treatment efficacy for bipolar disorder (STEP-BD), schizophrenia (CATIE) and Alzheimer's (CATIE). Ananda is the author of Here For The Joy (2022) and Good News About the World Falling Apart (2025) the latter work being the subject of this podcast. Ananda went to Andover, Oberlin and Yale Law School and later taught English at St. Ann's School in Brooklyn.  In 1994, he left the city for upstate New York where he worked as a carpenter and mechanic and started seriously following his bliss.  He retired from carpentry when he hit 56, but never stopped teaching:  twelve years guiding students of shamanism at Spirit Hollow, the nature and spirituality center he co-founded, and the last twenty years and counting as an adjunct instructor of anthropology, history and mythology at the Community College of Vermont. Robert Falconer is a pioneering consultant and international educator in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.  He brings over five decades of transformative psychological expertise and a heartfelt commitment to healing and understanding the complexity of human experience.  Falconer has authored several influential books including Many Minds, One Self, co-written with IFS founder Richard C.
