FOREVER MIDNIGHT - Horror Movie Podcast.

This week Jef decided enough was enough so he picked a good movie for a change of scenery. What "good" movie do you ask? One right in Jef's sweet spot, none other than 1990's "MISERY"!  Josh and Brian were caught off guard by this "good" movie pick thrown into the mix. They were not quite sure if they were bummed or excited to watch James Caan stink up a bed for 2 hours, but the one thing they did know is this would not be a difficult film to watch this week and talk about. Sure they may have had their reasons for the lackluster reception to Jef's pick, but they knew in their hearts this would be a nice break from the dog shit they usually watch...and LOVE. Plus they knew the listener's would probably hoist Jef upon their shoulders and hail him as their saviour....at least for this week. 

In this episode it is Brian's week to choose a movie and he decides to choose one that has been haunting him for some time, even though he has never seen it! Something caught his eye and sat in the back of his head until this week when he finally made Jef and Josh watch the 1981 zombie invasion film "Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror"! At first glance it seemed to be just another run of the mill Italian zombie flick with slow ass walking dead, cheap zombie makeups and a plot that is buried deeper than most of the zombies in the film, but the casting of a single man sets this movie apart from almost all other italian zombie movies. You gotta watch it! 

The FM3 have been dealing with being sick and injured this past week so they decided to unleash an episode recorded in 2021 from the Patreon Exclusive Episode Archive (There are over 80 episodes on our Patreon by the way..wink wink) The film in question is James Gunn's 2006 bump & lump fest "Slither"! This is a fun episode because the guys actually like this movie so it's jumps all over the place, touching and stroking all the space worms and topics. Plus there is a conversation at the very end of the episode that shows The Forever Midnight crew is truly touched with the gift of predicting the future, in this case the future of James Gunn's film projects. In this episode one of Forever Midnight 's Top Dawgs from Patreon picked a little unsung horror flick from 2001 called "Session 9".  This is one of those rare occasions when a film has a shoestring budget and a simple premise but is done well and you end up with a huge abandoned asylum filled with dread, perfect for getting creeped out while watching with headphones in the dark. THe FM3 were very excited to finally chat about this one and try to uncover what REALLY happened to the poor characters. For you loyal listeners this movie was even on Josh's Top 20 list of the Past 20 episode ! (#133 that was released on January 6th, 2020) Sit back and listen to the crew chip away at the toxic tiles of this spooky mind melter!  

In this episode the FM3 are so very happy to leave space in the rear view mirror and steer their escape pod toward something new and refreshing. Something thought provoking, something good! That something being the box office powerhouse "Sinners" by writer/director Ryan Coogler that has been breaking records left and right since it was released. It's been a minute since Jef, Josh and Brian have all equally loved and were excited to chat about a horror film and rightfully so. If you have not seen this gift of cinema yet, please go see it before Forever Midnight spoils it all for you! It is a genuine treat and the boys can't get enough! 

In this episode the heroic cosmonauts Jef, Josh and Brian saved their last intergalactic horror chat for what is probably the most well known franchise to make it to the stars, the one and only "Jason X"! The crew aboard the SS Forever Midnight have grown weary and fear their bones and brains have been affected by the long journey through space and time. Their teeth have gotten skinny and Brian is experiencing celestial walnut brain syndrome. It is time to get back to earth 1, time to reintegrate back into human society.  Soaring in the heavens this past month was a great idea on paper, but the cost physically and mentally for the crew was astro-nomical!  

It is week three of the "Forever Midnight Goes To Space" bonanza and Jef, Josh and Brian are finally gettin' used to zero gravity and huffing farts in their space helmets. This time around the FM3 make a wish that Leprechaun 4 will hopefully not be as much of a boring mess as Critters 4, and who knows maybe they will find some gold hidden on some far off Mardi Gras planet?! Who knows maybe they will even witness a real life Leprechaun shootin' a pistol, you never know...it could happen! So tighten the buckles on your wee shoes cause this trip into space might get a little bumpy and lumpy! 

In this week's episode the FM3 are back in the space saddle! They may have breached some movie watching etiquette by watching 1992's Critters 4 before Critters 3 but they believe this was the best course of action as they needed another franchise horror space movie! (Slim pickens out there) After all, it is Forever Midnight goes to space in April 2025! So after decontamination, fasten your safety belts, grab a snack and beam yourself up into the stars!. It's time to visit some little hairy goobers! 

Kicking off "Forever Midnight Goes To Space" month, The FM3 are starting with 1996's Hellraiser: Bloodline. Jef, Josh and Brian were told that this is the episode in the franchise that they get to see Pinhead in outer space! How could they not start with this obvious masterpiece, afterall Alan Smithee directed it, what could go wrong?! So please secure the airlock and fasten your seatbelt because this episode is gonna have some space turbulence and probably some space flatulence, so make sure that you have enough oxygen to make it through the whole episode. We have such shites to show you! Enjoy earthings!

They don't know if they are gonna love it or hate it, but they do know it's gonna be a massacre.
