Eileen Porzuczek is an author, creative writer, poet, artist, and professional storyteller. She has a B.A. in English—with concentrations in creative writing and professional writing—and an M.A. in Emerging Media Design and Development—with concentrations in design thinking, transmedia storytelling, user experience, and user interaction—from Ball State University.
Eileen has worked with Ball State University and the Indiana Writers Center to bring community memoirs to life through creative writing. Some of the memoir anthologies she’s worked on include: #KeepMuncieWeird…AndWhimsical!, Grit, Grace, and Gratitude: Senior Citizen Sage Stories, and multiple editions of I Remember: Indianapolis Youth Write About Their Lives. Her anthology work has also led her to present at literary and non-literary conferences globally.
Eileen’s poems have been published in New Plains Review, The Raven Review, and Creation Magazine. Her artwork can also be found in The Broken Plate. Memento Mori: A Poetic Memoir in Three Parts, published by Finishing Line Press, is Eileen’s debut poetry collection and will be available for pre-sale in April 2025 and officially released in August 2025. She has been working on putting this poetic memoir together in the years following her accident and is thankful to have a platform to share her story.
Eileen lives in the Greater Indianapolis area with her partner and their rescue Goldendoodle.
