On today’s Daily Puck Drop, episode 608! Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular Thursday guests, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, Michael-Shawn Dugar from The Athletic and Brad Adam from ROOT sports. Puck starts off the show laughing about another Mariners win and how unexpected this start to the season is for the Mariners. In their win on Wednesday they won in a fashion that they haven’t done before as Puck explains. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, recaps the NFL draft and what he liked about what the Seahawks did in addressing a number of needs. They also discussed the Sheduer Sanders slide and why it happened and can he change his ways once he gets to the NFL. Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic, visits with Puck for his final visit before the start of next season.  Puck and Dugar spend the majority of their time discussing Jalen Milroe and what his impact will be on the team and how soon will he play?  Milroe has accuracy issues, is that something he can improve on at the NFL level?  Puck and Dugar agree that having Milroe push Sam Darnold is a good thing for Darnold.  Despite the contract, Darnold can’t feel comfortable being the starting quarterback.  Brad Adam, ROOT Sports, dials in from his hotel in Dallas as he is getting ready to spend his off day golfing with Mariners coaches.  Once Brad gets done telling Puck about his pre-golf stretching and drinking routine they get into the Mariners and the unbelievable start of the season for Jorge Polanco.  The show wraps up with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  The best storyline in baseball is Jorge Polanco and it’s not close. (1:05) Puck on the Mariners and the fact they keep winning (11:24) Mike Garafolo, NFL Network (36:40) Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic (1:01:33) Brad Adam, ROOT Sports (1:24:15) “Hey, What the Puck!?”

It just continues, My Oh My!   Jim’s wife Kathy crashes the party and Puck wonders why isn’t she doing the podcast over Jim! It begs the question, can the Mariners keep it up?   They also dive into the Seahawks draft weekend and what a runaway success it was and they reached talked about their favorite part of the class.  Jim loved Damian Martinez and Puck loved that virtually every pick was a team captain and they never entered the transfer portal.  Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic, joined the show to recap the draft and offer his perspective and what he made of  the new class.   How will they deploy Jalen Milroe?  Was it unfair of Mike Macdonald to come out and say that Sam Darnold will be on the field 90 percent of the time and the other 10 percent goes to Milroe?  What was notable about this class and what set it apart from other classes under John Schneider?After Dugar leaves, Puck and Jim clean some house on other stories like rookies asking to wear retired jerseys. He has also declared himself the President of the Ben Williamson fan club.  After touching in on the M’s, Puck welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, who’s in Los Angeles getting ready to anchor the networks draft coverage.  Mike goes over the top rumors swirling right now leading up to the draft.  How far will Sheduer Sanders fall?  Is there a chance that another quarterback besides Cam Ward gets selected before Sanders?  Would the Seahawks trade down and select Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe?  There have been rumors circulating that the Seahawks could be shopping or listening to offers from Ken Walker?  As the draft starts what is the future of both Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rogers?The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar joins Puck to breakdown what he thinks the Seahawks will do in the first round.  Mike has a feeling that the pick at 18 may well be a defensive player. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Ryan Divish right at the top of the show to talk Mariners baseball as Jim Moore is off on Wednesday because he’s in Pullman celebrating his twin boys 21st birthday.  Divish and Puck discuss the state of the M’s and are joined by Tim Booth of the Seattle Times, who is in Boston covering the Mariners on their current road trip.  They discuss the struggles of the Mariners starters, Bryce Miller specifically.  They also touch in on the struggles of the offense with runners in scoring position and they discuss their current strikeout rate. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett kicks off the show discussing the unbelievable playoff games in the NHL and NBA that took place on Monday and how it doesn’t matter which sport it is, the playoff atmosphere always delivers and it delivered once again.  Puck than welcomes John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com to discuss breaking news reported by John himself on the 2025 Pac-12 TV deal involving Washington State and Oregon State. An official announcement will happen on Wednesday and a source confirmed to John that the home games will appear on the CW Network and the start times for those games will be released as well.
