Here we follow the story of a young woman. She was about to return home when she had the impression of being followed... This is how she discreetly called her friend, speaking to her in a message coded to make her understand that she is in danger. Who is it? Is it really someone? A woman would not have to be afraid of being alone in the street...The two women therefore find themselves exchanging their points of view concerning art, feminist artists or not.Voice recording : Lucie Foucard, Noémie PouillierResearch : Marie Vanbossel, Julie MestdaghPodcast Cover : Marie VanbosselScreenwriting : Emma ClaereboudtEditing + additional recordings : Emma Claereboudt, Lucie Foucard, Noémie PouillierSound Effects from Pixabay Hosted on Acast. The project is an auditory experience. It is the story of five explorers who live in an era where the religion of Pastafarianism oppresses humanity. They created a machine to go into the future, to find the artefact that could end Pastafarianism and save their era. You follow their adventure.by Julien, Dylan, Elane, Eloise & SamuelEditing : Julien, Dylan, Elane, Eloise and SamuelFinal touches : DylanSound sources : Sonothèques, Youtube, personal recordCover : EloïseContract writer : DylanScenario : Julien, Dylan, Elane, Eloise and Samuelexplanation writer : Elane Hosted on Acast. Inside / outside is a travel, physical and emotional. It’s about the sensations that we’re going through and experiencing in everyday lives, in public transport, riding a bicycle, in the street. Sound is connected to sensations. In this work, we are taking the fact that the external sounds impact us, our feeling ; making us feeling happy, smooth, agitated, stressed, oppressed. The metro’s or ambulance buzzer, the rhythm of the metro, birds sounds, receiving the “signals” of the external environment. We wanted to play with utopia and dystopia, to create confusion in the listener’s mind. We don’t know if it’s something chaotic like a war and everything falling down or if everything’s okay and it’s just a mental travel. We really appreciated working on this limits and making some noises to imagine an illusion in exploring and exploiting recording defaults."the body wants, the body asks" - Psychotic Monks concert Intersection - flèche d’or - nov 2024by Clara & Feral Hosted on Acast. Our group work presents a unique auditory journey through the sounds of various foods being chewed. Everyday sounds we often overlook—like the crunch of a cracker, the softness of bread, the crispness of an apple—are layered, extended, and transformed into a purely sonic experience. These sounds are intricately woven together, creating atextured soundscape that gradually deepens, immersing the listener in a world filled with rhythm and emotion. It’s not only a reexamination of sound but also an exploration of the familiar and unfamiliar, inviting listeners to experience the texture and power of sound through their ears alone.by Xuanyu, Xiaotong & Xiaoyue Hosted on Acast. At the beginning, we talk about an old performance of Antoine’s. The net is a performative device that takes the form of a collective game where language is woven. This yellow net extends like a narrow strip of about 50 cm wide by 3 meters long, inviting participants to enter into dialogue with it and with each other. The fishing net that Antoine crafted is made for performance. It was about taking a fishing net and saying words to create a narration. Each participant is invited to place their hands on the net. The goal is simple in appearance: to get out of the net together. To progress, each person takes turns saying a word or a fragment of a sentence, inspired by the immediate environment, by the material of the net or by the associations of ideas that it arouses. Each word spoken is equivalent to a step, a knot crossed, a collective approach towards the edge of the net. During the performance each word had to resonate with the next one, we can take all the time we need to find a word who can resonate with the previous word. The performance lasted twenty minutes, when finally we all accessed the end of the path of knot and we stop saying words. This sound is a combination of report, documentation and narration. There is no visual documentation of the performance, only the artwork that indicates the existence of the net. At the beginning of the podcast, you can hear the note of intent in the sound as well as the recording of the performance with the net.Sources:-AI voice: ElevenLabs-Sound design: Anselmeby Sofiane, Antoine, Elie, Anselme & Rafik Hosted on Acast. The focus of our venture, One Day – Auto-portraits in Sound, revolves around building a sound portrait of each team member with the events of a single day. Including activities such as cooking, hanging out with friends, listening to music, or day trip as a way of understanding the concept of self-representation. Each team member is allowed to either demonstrate their ordinary life or a fictional character, which allows room for imagination. These togetherness soundscapes make up a bigger picture of personal stories set within the structure of ‘One Day’.1. Alix, 19, aspiring circus performer and music lover. Goes to gigs and spends time with friends. (Louiza)2. Mariam, 24 years old, an art student. The recording shows the simplicity of a student’sday between its school life and house life, tasks, duties and fun. A story to be told by theindividuals words. (Mariam)3. Malonne, a designer works at home, spent the day with knife, pencil and heat. (Ziyi)4. Amy, a photographer living in the city Phoenix. The recording starts with a short trip during the day time, then enter the dreamy night. Mixing a bit contrast of reality and dream. (Yi)5. Malcom, 8:53, no clue about pm or am, his alarm clock works no more. (Aristide)This audio project invites listeners to imagine stories through the medium of sound, highlighting the richness of everyday life. By weaving together field recordings, we aim to create immersive soundscapes that challenge the audience to build their own narratives from auditory cues. The project draws inspiration from sound artists like Luc Ferrari, known for his evocative environmental recordings, and Hildegard Westerkamp, who explored storytelling through soundscapes. Our work bridges art and imagination, allowing sound to become a canvas for the listener's creativity. This collaborative effort was created by Mariam, Louiza, Ziyi,Aristide, & Yi. Hosted on Acast. A space. A place. Where I’m working or where I’m sleeping? What difference does it make when I have to wait to go from one to the other. I spent my studies waiting for that, for what? Mouses are clicking, keyboards are tapping, computers whirr... Who is actually working? Us, a couple of people or a ton of machines? I take a document from one to distribute it to another while my shoes and my outfit is strangling me. A door is opening and closing tirelessly, the background sound is always the same. Finally I can go. It’s raining. I didn’t notice it. The windows are too disturbing. Walk to the bus, number 7.5. Inside is a bunch of children, rain is enchanting them with their little rain coats. Rest now. The little ones are almost screaming but it’s okay, I was one of them. Wasn't I? Or was I always the teacher? little minds growing around colorful cubes and sleepy hours. I can’t even remember this time, was I screaming “mine! mine!” or was I the little one waiting peacefully, or crying, all day to go back to my mom?References:Talia Stevenson, Backyard Barbecue, 2021,sound piece Sound Art - Talia StevensonThe vaporwave mouvement in music in generalAbraham Moles, Psychologie du kitsch, 1972, livreDominique Rolin, l’enfant roi, 1986Françoise Dolto, écris sur l’enfance et son rapport à la psychanalyseLisa Yuskavage, pratique généraleTodd Haynes, Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story, 1987, long métrageNicolas Buffe, Peau de licorne, 2011, CRAFT de LimogesSounds:Children at school, recorded by LénaClicking and bus sounds, recorded by EmmaOther sounds come from BBC library BBC Sound EffectsCover by Juliaby Lena, Emma, Morgane and Julia Hosted on Acast. In this experimental radio project, our group seeks to explore means of divination by combining traditional Chinese fortune-telling methods and Western Tarot reading methods. The Chinese method reflects a rich history and philosophical depth, by using ancient chinese symbols written on small circular pieces of wood tokens that are thrown and then associated with a specific passage and poem written in Ancient Chinese. Meanwhile the Tarot represents a global perspective of the practices of divination. To explore these methods, our group created a protocol, which is the following:1) One person (Yuwen, Haoran,Mingwang or Omari) asks a question of their choice;2) One person (Rouyu) acts as the Diviner, conducting the reading of cards or tokens;3) Once the reading is done, others from the group may give their own perspectives of what the result may be.Artistic references:Laurie Anderson, Janet Cardiff, Tania Bruguera.Illustrated Lingqi Jing (Book of the Spirit Chess), originally authored by Dongfang Shuo (Han Dynasty), edited by Xu Yiping, collated by Cheng Zihe, Hualing Publishing House, Beijing, 2009.by Rouyu,Yuwen, Haoran, Omari & Mingwang Hosted on Acast.
